Frequently Asked Questions

Where are Asara bags made?

All our bags are handcrafted in Madagascar, in our family workshop, where we have been working with raffia for more than 15 years.

Are the bags handmade?

Yes. Each bag is entirely hand-crocheted, using artisanal expertise that requires time, precision, and particular attention to every detail.

What are the bags made of?

Our bags are made from natural raffia, an emblematic plant fiber from Madagascar. Valued for its flexibility, lightness, and durability, raffia gives each piece its unique character.

Are the bags produced in limited quantities?

Yes. Our bags are made in small batches in our family workshop in Madagascar. This approach allows us to prioritize the quality of each piece and to produce at a more responsible pace.

Will my bag be exactly identical to the photos?

Our bags are handcrafted from natural raffia. Slight variations in texture, shape, or color may therefore appear from one piece to another. These are part of the artisanal character of each creation, while remaining true to the model presented.

How do I care for my bag?

Raffia is a natural material that evolves over time. We recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to humidity and storing your bag in a dry place when not in use. If necessary, clean it gently with a soft cloth.

Yes. You have 14 days from the receipt of your order to request a return. Items must be returned in their original condition, unused, and with their original packaging.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
