ASARA began as a shared project between my mother and me, in our family workshop in Madagascar.

For over fifteen years, raffia has been worked there by hand, with the patience and expertise this material demands.

Together, we create distinctive pieces from natural raffia, carefully hand-crocheted in limited quantities.
