Asara was born in a workshop.
Not a concept.
Nor a trend.
A place where I grew up, alongside my mother, who passed on to me, over the years, a passion for creation and craftsmanship.
It was there that my admiration for raffia was born, and this heritage of know-how that has shaped Madagascar for generations.
Growing up in this world, I developed an appreciation for beautiful materials and, over time, the desire to create my own pieces.
Asara extends what began in this workshop.
Our bags are hand-crocheted in our family workshop in Madagascar by artisans whose skill perpetuates a long-recognized savoir-faire on the island.
Each piece is made from natural Madagascan raffia, a material chosen for its authenticity and durability.
Designed to transcend seasons, our creations combine timelessness and uniqueness.
This project was born in this workshop.
It just took a few years before I dared to bring it to life.
